There are plenty of shopping opportunities around Greyfield Farm Cottages from Farm Shops and Farmers Markets through to the Small Independents, second hand, antiques and craft shops in Bath, Frome, Glastonbury & Wells to the Large Shopping Centres in Bristol & Bath and the Outlet Stores in Street.

 

Bristol has a huge new Shopping Centre at its centre, Cabots Circus which ties into the old central Broadmead Area, which links into the slightly bohemian St Nicolas Market area which when combined with the Mall at Cribbs Causway means that Bristol is one of the best places in the country to shop, featuring most of the country’s best names including John Lewis & Harvey Nichols.

 

For those of you who like something a little different the St Nicolas Market area is worth exploring.

 

Bath is keeping pace with its new  smaller boutique South Gate Shopping Centre, which blends into the centre, plus many small independent shops in its arcades and winding streets.

 

For those in search of a bargin there is Clarks Village in Street is home to many Outlet Stores, Kilver Court and the Mulberry Factory Shop in Shepton Mallet.

Dandos Genreal Store – which stocks general grocery items plus fruit & veg and off licence.

Post Office – which is the local Post Office, Newspaper Shop & Off Licence.

Haynes – which is the local fish & chip shop/restaurant.

Local Farmers Markets

Around Greyfield Farm Cottages there are a number of Farmers Markets where you can purchase fresh local produce. They are:

 

Midsomer Norton – Once a month on the first Saturday of the month.

Frome – Over 30 stalls. Huge range of produce.Twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.

Wells – A weekly market in partnership with the ordinary street market. From 9am to 2.30pm every Wednesday, in the Market Place.

Bath – A weekly Saturday Market 9:00-1:30pm at Green Park (by the Sainsburys).

Bristol – A Weekly Wednesday Market 9:30-2:30 in Corn Street by the St Nicholas Market.

 

Farringtons Farm Shop (Farrington Gurney)

At Greyfield Farm Cottages our local Farm Shop is Farringtons Farm Shop in the Village of Farrington Gurney.

 

It has a good deli, the best cheese counter outside Bath, a good selection of locally produced vegetables & meat, wet fish, locally baked bread and a nice selection of luxury grocery items.
